I am a newly licensed registered nurse in the state of MD, seeking work while I take courses towards my bachelor's degree in nursing online.. I have no formal training as a nanny but have raised 3 very outstanding and successful children. I was a full time mother and realtor most of my life, and returned to school to become a nurse in my 50's, wanting to do something more meaningful with my life when my youngest child left for college. I am an intelligent, articulate, and compassionate woman. I am very high energy, love children and dogs ( am allergic to cats ), and have an abundance of experience with regard to infant care, early childhood learning, education, and sports involvement. My own children are highly educated professionals (kindergarten teacher, finance, physician) and were involved in sports all their life ( all 3 of my children were division 1 Read more collegiate athletes ), so I have first hand experience with the juggling of schedules to meet the demands of practices and games while placing an emphasis on education and a commitment to excellence in the academic environment, while still having fun. Having fun is important for children! As a nurse I am certified in CPR and basic life support. I have personal experience with some learning disabilities in that my middle child has ADHD. I worked with him one on one most of his life to assure his success in school and in life. Ideally I would love to work as a nurse/nanny doing infant care. I feel I have the unique qualifications to provide a safe and nurturing environment that would give parents peace of mind as they return to work. I would consider family care if the fit was right for me and fit into my study schedule.
