My name is Lois Cleland. I live in Pasadena, MD. I am a retired elementary school teacher. I taught for 36 years for the Baltimore County Public Schools. I've spent my adult life (and my teenage years) caring for children. I have one step-daughter who is now an adult. I have many nieces and nephews and even two great nieces. I've spent many hours caring for them through the years. I understand the need for children to have a variety of experiences ranging from outside play to quiet reading time. I love to nuture childrens' natural imagination and compassion. I work with a local dog rescue group, the Potomac Cairn Terrier Club Rescue. I am the Maryland coordinator and I provide a foster home for dogs waiting to be adopted. I have two cairn terriers of my own. I've been a dog owner for about 30 years. I am an Read more animal lover and am very comfortable cairng for them. I have cared for children ranging in age from newborn to age 12. When I was a teacher I taught elementary school music. I taught all the children in the entire school. It was wonderful working with such diverse age groups. I found it invigorating, challenging and FUN. To me, children are the most intersting people out there!
