Hello, My name is Nicole Jones and I am 22 year old African-American female. I've always genuinely had an attachment to children. I am an older sister to a 16 year old and I have always had an active role in her growth. Within the past 3 years of my life I have also been employed by programs their are specific to children. I was an employee for SuperKids camp under Parks and People Foundation. I ran a classroom with at most 20 students. My responsibilities was to independently supervise the students and make sure I followed the curriculum that was given during the duration of the program. The curriculum was made up of assignments related to reading, writing, and mathematics. I am currently an employee of the YMCA and have been since Summer of 2014. I am the Youth Development Director assistant which means I am responsible for assisting Read more the director with programs that are established throughout the year. I was a lead counselor for the summer program held last year. My responsibilities entailed helping the kids with writing, reading, mathematics, and science. I also was responsible for watching them during their swim time and field trips. It was also my responsibility to see that all children were properly picked up by their parent or guardian. I am also affiliated in a sorority that devotes all their time to enhancing youth within the communities. I am a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and we deal with a lot of youth development programs. At age 22 I am truly devoted to seeing children grow and helping them succeed. I was once a child myself so I look at as paying it forward. My goal is to make any parent feel comfortable so I am open to any conversations you would like to have with me if I was a potential candidate for the position. I do have my own transportation and I live in Rosedale, Maryland. I am a college student however, for financial reasons I needed to take a break so, I am just looking for employment.
