I have enjoyed caring for and helping families to raise children for 18 years. I have extensive experience with newborns through 18-year-olds. I am seeking a full-time position with a family in the Bethesda/CC/Silver Spring/Potomac/Rockville area with specific focus on younger children. I find caring for newborns and young children most rewarding because of the bond that is created. I am available day time and night time as well as some weekends and overnights for those who travel. I am safe. I am very professional and I understand the challenges of raising children when parents also work hard. I have my own car, a valid driver's license, full insurance and am very reliable. In my past experience, I was responsible for driving kids to and from school, to doctor's appointment, and sporting or other after school activities. I enjoy taking walks, going to museums, the zoo or play rooms, play Read more dates with other children, parks and libraries. These are only some of the outside activities we do. As for indoor activities I like Art (drawing, painting, coloring books), dancing, sports (i.e basketball, soccer), play with dolls, hide and seek. Anything, within reason, that makes the kids happy. I'm open to letting the children help decide what we do. Cleaning up after the children is a definitely a part of the job. I'm also open to taking on additional duties as needed. I develop good relationships with my kids that I take care of. My last job, with a family i've worked with for the past 9 years has recently ended because the children have grown up and are driving. I don't have any children of my own. I am single and very flexible.
