I'm Maisa, Brazilian, 28 years old. I arrived in the United States in 2010 to be part of the Au Pair program. For 2 years I lived and worked for a family taking care of 3 kids ages1, 5 and 7 (by the time I started). At the end of my exchange program, I got married and the became a US permanent resident. Still, after my Au Pair program, I found a great family to work as a full-time nanny taking care of a 6 months old baby (by the time I started). He was a lovely little boy and I had a lot of fun with him. I was responsible for his laundry, bath, feeding, changing diapers, and as he grew older, I enjoyed teaching him Portuguese, colors and numbers, also taking him to the park, walks, and play dates. My heart was broken when I had to leave Read more him because his mom, who was pregnant of a second child, entered in maternity leave and wouldn't need me for 1 year. As a lucky nanny, I found an amazing family to work for and it is the family that I am actually working. They had 2 wonderful kids ages 6 months and 4 (by the time I started), and 1 month ago they had one more baby boy. My main responsibility besides feeding and taking them to school, is make sure they are safe and having fun. We love to be outside and enjoy our time together going to several different parks, walks, play dates, riding bikes and scooters, doing arts and crafts, and finding indoor activities on rainy days such as going to chuck&cheese, joyful jumps, gymnastics, libraries, etc. Unfortunately, my Spring class schedule won't allow me to work as late as 6pm, and even though I love this family, we both agreed that would be better if I could find another job closer to college, or that would allow me to leave around 5 p.m. in order for me to make it to class. I have an excellent driver's record, and references can be provided upon request. CPR knowledge acquired on Au Pair training. I'm excited to know more about your family and your needs.
