Hello There! I'm Jackie and I'm 27 years old. I'm originally from Rhode Island and was living in California for the past two years. I recently moved to MD to be closer to family. While living in California I had the pleasure of being a nanny/babysitter for two families. The families had two children each, ages ranged from 10 months to 9 years old. I was also able to gain experience as a ABA Therapist . I started babysitting when I was 14 years old for a friend of the family. I took care of my nephew since he was a newborn till he was 2 years. In my previous jobs I was a head teacher for a before and after school program and I was also an assistant instructor/ direct support staff at a residential center. While being a head teacher, I was responsible for the care of 30 Read more + school age children. My responsibilities was to develop an enjoyable curriculum, help them with homework, provide breakfast and snack, and transport them to school and back. I was an assistant instructor when I worked at a residential center that took care of children with autism. These children ages ranged from 5-18 years old. My responsibilities was to aid them with their ADLs such as: showering, feeding, and bed time preparations. Also, assisted them to increase their basic life skills, helped them with their social skills while being out in the community, and provided a safe a learning environment. I love working with children from all ages. I'm personally looking for a nanny/babysitter job is because I miss being around the children I worked for and the ones in my family. I come from a close-knit family and family is everything to me. I will treat your child/children as if they were part of my family.
