I am a former licensed clinical social worker who has decided in her mid-life years to do the kind of work I absolutely love. Being a nanny and working with children, is the kind of work that I am meant to do. I have a BA in Psychology and Sociology. I have a Master's in Social Work and have worked extensively with children in an elementary school-based setting, as well as, home-based children and family work. I have spent the last ten years working with children, including children with special needs such as pervasive developmental disorder. While in graduate school, I worked as a KinderCare kindergarten teacher in Springfield, VA for five years. I am very familiar with a child's developmental needs and abilities by age.
