I am a senior at Northeastern University studying speech pathology. I have worked at Perkins School for the Blind with children with special needs, ages 7-15, for 2 years (both full-time and part-time.) My responsibilities at Perkins included teaching, changing, feeding, transferring (for those in wheelchairs,) and other classroom duties, for 4 children with mental, visual, and physical disabilities. Being an SLP major, I have taken many classes in childhood development and feel prepared to work with any age. Prior to college, I babysat for several of my neighbors. I love kids! I'm friendly! And I'm hoping to Nanny this summer starting now until September. Plus, I am well qualified (and enthusiastic) to work with children with all types of disabilities, and am CPR and First Aid certified.
