I recently graduated from the University of Maine, receiving my Bachelor's of Social Work. I spent the fall semester in Antwerp, Belgium interning as a social educator at a residential facility for girls ages 6-12 who have experienced abuse and/or trauma. During the spring, I interned at an elementary school working alongside a guidance counselor, meeting with children individually and facilitating small groups. During high school I volunteered for Jumpstart, a Seeds of Independence mentor program and travelled to La Romana, in the Dominican Republic to build a hospital and provide medical care to individuals and families living in poverty. After completing the American Red Cross Babysitting Course in 2008, I have nannied for many families over the years, discovering later I would pursue a career to follow my passion.
