Hi, I am happy to introduce myself to you. My name is Sue which is my middle name and my first name is Aaileen after my Irish grandmother. Three years ago I stepped back from the day to day professional and full time career. I am nowpursuing full or part time positions with children and families. I have found that I am now able to be free to chose to work more closely with people which I have always enjoyed more than paperwork. The change has been incredible for me, mentally, emotionally and physically. I have bloomed in a way that was not possible sitting at a desk with less and less time to be with people. I am today a very young woman in my early sixties who is back to my high school weight. I eat well and make very thoughtful choices as to what I chose to Read more eat, a lot of fruit and veggies and fewer foods with flour and sugar. I also love to walk. My great adventure which I completed 2 years ago was the rehabilitation of a vintage 1977 Airstream which I towed to see family across the USA . My only passengers were my two dogs, Finnegan and Jesse. We had a blast. I am Irish-Italian and grew up in a family of 3 siblings, all brothers. My father was an Air Force pilot/meteorologist, thus the love of travel. My most important lessons and values come from being a kid who had really good parents who retired and lived in Lee, NH for 30 plus years. I first worked in the public schools, teaching and then was trained in a graduate program to care for and to teach infants and toddlers. I worked for a total of 7 years in both private and settings which were under the umbrella of the Head Start Program as a Head Teacher for infants and Toddlers. One of the toddler positions I held was in a farm labor camp in southern Illinois. This position served the needs of Migrant families and the health needs led me to a nursing program in which I received my license as a practical nurse. My interest in special needs eventually led me to pursuing a degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and I have worked in this area for the past 15 years. I thrive in working with people, especially children, and my decision to go back to basics has been a joyful transition. I would say that my areas of strength are communicating with people and that all my training has built a little bag of tools which includes making good healthy food, reading good books, having spontaneous and well planned fun. Laughing, and playing are a must
