I've been babysitting for as long as I've been able to. I started out the way any kid does, watching my siblings and cousins after school while our parents finished up work. I had my first steady babysitting job when I was 11 years old, I watched a little girl (4 at the time of starting) for 6 years on and off while her mom was a bartender. Since then I've had several babysitting/nannying jobs, almost all of which I maintained for a year or more. I'm now a 21 year old senior at Grand Valley State University. I've worked several different types of odd jobs, but I find child care to be the most fulfilling of any of these and it's the kind of job that you don't dread going to every day. It's a chance to set aside my adult life and stresses.
