I have had a great amount of experience working with children of all different ages and types from jobs, volunteer opportunities and personal experiences. Starting when I was about 15 years old I have been babysitting for multiple families around my hometown and continuing to do so for families in each town that I have lived in all throughout my college career, ranging from ages newborn to 12 years old. My next job was at a childcare and developmental center where I gained great experience and training with placement in the infant and toddler rooms. Following this, I have had years of experience working with children between the ages of preschool and fourth grade at Father Marquette Elementary school. At this placement I was able to incorporate both fun and academics as well as gain person experience as a teacher/leadership role working with various aged and individual children. My following Read more experience opened up a whole new book for me at a location called Teaching Family Homes. Here, I was responsible for assisting with treatment for troubled youth in a group home setting. I provided both emotional and physical support to the youth while providing treatment and care. As the director of a children's summer camp I was able to plan daily activities for an eight week period, ensure care and safety and of course, enjoy the summer fun with the children ! Each of my experiences have been very unique to each other giving me a wide range of experience in many different fields of children but have thoroughly enjoyed and cherished each one of them. Starting out with my first job as a nanny at a young age my passion for working with children was sparked and has been growing each day.
