My name is Amanda and I have been married for almost 10 years. I have three wonderfully brilliant girls, two of which are in school. My youngest is almost two already! I have been sucessfully watching newborns through school-age children since I was 13. Most of those kids are in high school now! My eldest daughter was born during my junior year of college and we haven't looked back since. We are interested in watching ONE newborn or infant in our home. I drop the girls off and pick them up from school and we only have room to safely fit one more carseat. Safety is a priority! My youngest daughter will be two in May but is gentle, smart, and loves to play. She will be home with me. We have done bottles and boobs, formula and breast milk, cloth diapers and disposables, and homemade baby food and store Read more bought. We have experienced daycare but have been fortunate enough for me to stay home with our girls. We do sign language, tummy time, baby wearing, swaddling, walks, dancing, singing as well as reading and cuddling. We go to the grocery store and run a few errands when we can. Not too many surprises after having three girls! We still have our baby equipment (playpen, infant carseat, high chair, etc.) and nothing is expired or recalled. My family is well-supported, immunized and otherwise healthy. I would appreciate that your child be vaccinated. I have two girls in school and would prefer that they not be passing on anything that can be prevented by vaccination. I am more than willing to watch a child that is not feeling well either. Daycare turns them away but they have good reasons! I will require a vaccination chart from your doctor. I do not have any personal experience with special needs. I am willing to research specific needs and be as open-minded and helpful as possible. We have a fish and two very sweet lady pups. They have grown up alongside the girls and have taught them a lot about patience, companionship, and responsibility.
