I have been taking care of children since I was in 8th grade. When I was in college studying for my nursing degree. I was a nanny for my pastor's three children. I was apart of their lives for over 4 years. The oldest did have a peanut allergy and was required to know how to use an Epi-pen. I went on to work in the medical field and was certified in CPR. Life was calling me in another direction and I joined the Navy, but I was discharged in 2009 for medical reasons. I then stayed in Florida where I worked as a preschool teacher at Blue Angel Early learning center. I started off working with the two year old's and moved up to my own room with 12 three year old's. While I was there I took several classes on child development and was able to teach the Read more children what they needed in order to advance into our VPK program. I was in charge of making lesson plans, art projects, and some of the curriculum was learning the days of the week, months of the year, weather, presidents and understanding the alphabet and writing their names.
