I worked for an in home day care for about a year. I have taken care of 10-15 kids at a time, ages infant to 5 years old. I started the day with preparing breakfast. We then had a routine of playtime, circle time, calendar, story time and singing songs. Snack and craft would come next. We would then play some more before lunch time. After lunch was nap time and once they woke up they had another snack and we would work on their learning skills (alphabet, numbers, rhyming words, etc). I enjoy working with children because I like watching them grow and learn. I like the excitement they have when they see me, it makes me know that I am making a difference in their life. After the daycare I nannied a 4-year-old girl until she went to kindergarten. I would prepare breakfast and lunch for her every Read more day. We played with her toys, went on walks, played in her backyard, went to the park, went bowling or to a water park, and sometimes we would sit and relax and watch a movie.
