I am a mother of two. I have a degree from the University of Michigan School of Music. As a student at U of M I had the opportunity to take a few early childhood development classes, which allowed me to work directly in a U of M based daycare with children ranging in ages from 2-7. I was able to learn about each developmental stage of a child, and have used that knowledge as a starting point with my own kids. I love nurturing children by helping them develop their own sense of being while making sure to keep them safe and healthy. I always look for new and creative activities for my children that get them away from the TV and video games. I want to make sure each child I spend time with is engaged and developing different skills and ideas through creative play. I love doing Read more arts and crafts projects, reading, singing, acting, and weather permitting, playing outdoors! I am very health conscious and strive to provide healthy meals and snacks. I know children can try to push your buttons, but I believe in patience and redirection, rather than harsh scolding or punishment. Children are a gift, and I would love the chance to work with your kids!
