I come from a family of 7 with 5 children. Over the years I have taken care of many children with disabilities or handicaps. My parents raised me to be independent therefore I am fully capable of cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For example, stir fry, lemon pepper chicken, farmers omelet, tuna sandwich and more. I have certifications in CPR and First Aid. From 2012 - 2014 I was a nanny for a single mother with two boys, 7 & 9. The younger had a learning disability where I worked with him to complete homework. The eldest had anger control problems in which I was able to find alternative ways to expel the energy. I worked 5 days/week preparing snacks after school, making dinner, doing dishes, laundry, homework help, and other household chores. From Sept 2014- May 2015 I worked as a Nursery Caretaker for a church. There I took Read more care of a 3 week old baby and 5 other toddlers, ages 2-4. I have been a Girl Scout for over 13 years and am now a lifetime GS. I have achieved the highest possible award, the Gold Award--equitable to the Eagle Scout. I participated in Civil Air Patrol an Aux. of the AF where I completed two years of training at a Search and Rescue Academy and was Cadet Commander of my squadron. I have fun working with children and enjoy when I can teach them new things. I believe in keeping kids active versus sitting around all day. I look forward to working with you! :)
