My first full-time nanny job was in 1998, he was 6 weeks old when I started. Since then, I have gone back to school to become a medical assistant. I enjoy working as a caregiver and feel even more qualified now to care for children. I have no problems dispensing medication, or learning what needs to be done to take special care of a child. My last nanny assignment, which ended April 2015, was for a sweet baby with Esophageal Atresia/Tracheo-Esophageal Fistula. I started when he was 5 months old, and he was 18 months when I left. I am comfortable with g-tubes, ng-tubes, gj-tubes and their care. I am familiar with the Kangaroo Joey pump, gravity feeds, and bolus feeds. I can calculate and pass meds. I also have had the pleasure of caring for his older sister who has Rett Syndrome, but on a part time basis. I Read more have two children who may accompany me when they have days off from school and during breaks. My daughter is 16, my son is 13. My kids and I really enjoy getting out to parks, going swimming, and we would love to bring more friends. My car is a 2008 Grand Prix, so currently I have space for 2 other kids in my car. I know baby sign (hoping to learn more). I am also learning Chinese. My daughter is in her 12th year of Chinese and can speak well enough to translate simple conversations. My parenting style is redirecting for the young ones, consequences for the older ones that ranges from time outs to writing sentences and manual labor. My family eats organic and I am happy to prepare healthy and delicious meals for your little ones as well. Infants have a special place in my heart.
