I'm the oldest child in my family, by 5 years, so I've always been the designated babysitter. Even at a young age I loved to help take care of my siblings and the kids my mom babysat in our home. I got very comfortable taking care of kids, and decided that's what I'd like to do for the rest of my life. Currently I'm enrolled in online CDA (child development association) classes to earn a certification for preschool jobs. It's a really rewarding, interesting, and fun job to me! I babysat for a family (after meeting on care .com) for over a year, until they moved too far for me to follow. It was really heartbreaking because I love the girl I watched, but I'm now looking to replace that job. Savanna was a high energy 4 year old, much like the two boys I grew up sitting. I also Read more watched an infant from 4-8 months old, sadly the mother found a family member to watch him for free, though I do get the occasional call for a night out. I'm very comfortable changing diapers, cooking, and giving baths to infants or kids of all ages.
