My name is Andrea Evans. I am 20 years old and currently attending Eastern Michigan University. My major is Special Education. I am working in retail and looking for better opportunities with a job in childcare. I have babysat for 8+ years for children of all ages (newborn-teen). I have done internships with Perrinville Early Childhood Center in Livonia. I've worked with three and four year olds with Autism. I have also worked for two years with high schoolers that are cognitively impaired. I taught preschoolers for two years also. This was all volunteer work. One of the families I have worked with I met when their oldest girl was a newborn, now she is eight years old and has a 5 year old sister and a newborn sister that I also babysit. Another family has an six year old boy. I am comfortable with all ages. I have no Read more children, yet. I do have a dog. His name is Oscar and he is a Toy Fox Terrier. He is 12 years old. I do not believe in children sitting around all day watching television. It is very important to get homework done for older children and and for younger children learn cognitive, language, physical, emotional, and social development through different types of play. I love crafts and art projects. Also, I think dancing and singing is fun for children.
