I'm a senior at Eastern Michigan University studying special education. I have worked with children with and without disabilities. Throughout this school year I have worked with children in Schola (School of the Arts). Schola is an after school program for children in the Ypsilanti area. We provide homework help daily along with enrichment's throughout the week. The enrichment's include reading, math, and engineering. This year I have also been a part of EMU Best Buddies which is a volunteer organization that pairs up college students with young adults with intellectual disabilities. In Best Buddies, I have also taken on a role as an officer. The past three summers I have been a nanny for two different families. Both experiences have taught me a lot. I also used to babysit my neighbors three kids, worked at a preschool, and taught at Learn to Skate.
