Hello! My name is Laura. I’m a 20-something living in Andover having recently completed my masters at Bethel University. I currently work part-time at a church in NE Minneapolis and this is a job that I truly love. I am looking to pair that work with caring for children in a local family. My schedule is flexible, and I have experience working with children and families in a variety of contexts including two summer nanny positions, occasional babysitting for over 10 families throughout the years, a previous job as a Children’s Teacher at a local church, and taking care of my three, sweet nieces and nephew (ages 4, 2, and 7 months). I enjoy caring for children, and I believe that they have great value and worth. As I have worked with children over the years, I have discovered that children are both learners and teachers. Seeking to learn and Read more to teach is a posture I try to hold as well in my work with children and families. Characteristics that make me a good nanny include having a strong sense of responsibility, skills to communicate effectively, and a willingness to listen and understand. Additionally, I am honest and hard working. I value creativity, stories, and imagination. I appreciate constructive feedback, and I seek to have authentic relationships in the families with whom I work.
