I am currently a college student studying Elementary Education at a small college in Northwest Iowa. I live and grew up in Ham Lake Minnesota. I played many sports while growing up like hockey, basketball, swimming, volleyball, dance, gymnastics, and soccer. And I am actually still playing soccer at Dordt College where I am studying right now. I also love animals and have my own dog at home who I miss very much right now! I also have a lot of past experience being a nanny 4 days a week last summer. I looked after 2 kids, a boy who is 6 and an 8 year old girl. They also had 2 cats who did not need much taking care of but I had to make sure they were not getting into too much trouble. I also have babysat for a few different families over the years in the evenings. Read more As an Education major, I am constantly learning about the ages I will hopefully be educating when I graduate (grades K-5) and get more excited about it the more I learn and observe in real Elementary classrooms. I have always had a passion for kids but I never knew I wanted to have my career consist of educating 20 little kids everyday until my senior year of high school. I went to a K-12 school called Legacy Christian Academy in Andover, MN. As seniors, we were assigned little buddies to help with crafts and play games with. After just hanging once with my buddy and her class I fell in love and knew I wanted to do this for my career.
