I've worked, played and nurtured children for 15 years now. My efforts with the munchkins have awarded me 2 Mayors awards in both Akron, Ohio and Columbia, South Carolina. The greatest reward is to watch them grow from love, consistency and genuine care. I started volunteering at a local Montessori preschool and elementary, which soon flourished into a full time position as one of the Head Teachers! One of the best times in my life- changing at least 8 diapers twice per day became a breeze with new tricks learned all the time. The school endured budget cuts, thus I needed another source for income, but I still volunteer my efforts as a Substitute when requested occasionally. Whether attending colleges in South Carolina and Ohio, or attending church in Minnesota, I've served in the Kids classrooms of various kinds- feeding, reading and caring. As of yesterday, I've just passed the Read more application and background process to serve parents of nursery age babies to toddlers at my new church, Berean Baptistof Burnsville. Can't Wait for my 1st day!
