Hi I'm Katie, I enjoy reading, music (creating and listening), the outdoors (walks, bike rides, swimming), playing sports, learning, and trying new things. I believe that it is important for children to be active and do different things each day. I love taking children on field trips to places like parks, guarded pools, and the children's museum. I have been a trained substitute for in-home daycares for 2 years now. The longest I have substituted for a provider was 3 months, and I was in charge of 7 children 50hr weeks Mon.-Fri. I grew up in an in-home daycare that my mom ran since I was about 7 years old. This has made me very comfortable and confident when caring children. I am looking for full-time hours (prefer at least 30hrs/wk) with pay at a negotiable $16 per hr or salary of $400 per week. I am open to a Read more live-in option but do not require it unless the location is more than 30 miles from my house in Coon Rapids, MN. I am very willing to travel for this job if desired. Most of my experience is with infants up to kindergarteners, however, I am very willing to work with any age children. I am good with pets. I especially love big dogs, but I get along with cats just as well. I am open to walking, feeding, brushing, and pet sitting if needed. I also offer light housekeeping as well, such as dishes, vacuuming, dusting, children's laundry, and help with homework. I have very good organizational skills, so if asked I can rearrange a space so that it functions more smoothly. As I've already mentioned, I am a lifeguard and therefore a good swimmer. I truly enjoy teaching children how to swim and is something I would offer as a full-time nanny. I believe that children should be able to have fun, learn, and be creative in a safe and loving environment. This is what I would bring to my position as a nanny.
