I'm a college student majoring in elementary ed at home between semesters. I've been around and worked with children my whole life, and I love it! I have four younger siblings I look after regularly (plus an older brother), and I've babysat for families from a wide variety of backgrounds and children of varying ages and temperament since I was twelve. I have lots of experience helping my younger siblings with homework, as well as with their piano lessons. I taught piano lessons myself for two years before heading out to college, I had between four and seven students I would see weekly, ages seven to thirteen. My favorite part of watching children is playing with them; I'm a master of make believe, a dress-up diva, a pillow fort architect, an outdoor enthusiast, a captivating storyteller, and I must say my tea party etiquette is impeccable. Working with children is Read more my passion and I would love nothing more than to spend my days playing with kids, and my nights writing a best selling YA novel. While I love to have fun, I realize that rules are made to be followed, not broken; within set guidelines there is ample room for fun and adventure. No means no, and yes means let's definitely go to park!- as soon as homework is done. I'm a firm believer that safety is number one, and all actions have consequences, positive or negative. Before going back to school in the fall, I would love to get to know some more kids and build a relationship with them. Potentially, I could even reconnect with them when I get back. I was not able to specify under availability, but I am not able to work any Sundays.
