I have 10+ years of experience in child care, and have helped raise many kids that I still care deeply for- even though they are almost all grown. My mother had an at-home day care for 8 years, where I learned the finer points of not just feeding and changing, but nourishing, loving and teaching. I also cared for a friend's newborn for a summer, and was privileged to watch another friend's children- and toddler and an active older son who loved teaching me Spanish. Both positions I enjoyed immensely and I honestly miss working with children. I am a Certified Surgical Technologist, but this field is not open to new graduates and so I am looking for a position that I can be passionate about again.
