Hiya! My name is Liz and growing up in a big family (12 siblings), I was the youngest by far. In fact, the sister closest to my age is 9 years older than me. Because of the large age gap, my siblings began having children when I was very young. My oldest nephew is actually one year older than me. I started babysitting when I was 5 years old and my sisters have used me for child care practically my entire life. I didn't mind then and I definitely don't mind now that they live hours away by both car and plane. Next, I picked up a job last year at the YMCA in the drop-in child care room. I've been there for over a year and love it! Through the Y, I was able to become first aid and CPR certified and have expanded my comfort level with children. Read more At the YMCA, we watch children ages 6 weeks to 10 years. I love my job and continue to stay despite the hours being less than desirable. Finally, I'm an eccentric young lady with a passion for theater. Acting would be my dream job and I plan to pursue it after college. I also have a strong affinity for learning and trying new things. Exposing ourselves to new things and new experiences with people is easily the thing I think separates humans from the rest of the animal kingdom. We care about each other and that care and compassion is something I hope to pass on to my own children someday. For now, I hope to just lead by example. Anything else? Just ask!
