I've always loved being with kids and I originally started this job search looking to work in a center, maybe picking up teaching to the little ones. But I couldn't find a center I was completely comfortable in! So that's when I decided to do a nanny job! I've been babysitting since I was about seven. I was the first born of all my cousins and siblings, so I was the one who was being called on the weekends asking to watch them! Then at the age 12 I got my first really babysitting job for a couple with 3 kids a few blocks over from where I lived. And boy, was I excited! I worked for them during the summers for 2 years and babysat their kids once they got out of school until they arrived home in the late evening. After that I worked with a lady down Read more the street from me, who ran an at home daycare and I loved it! And someday hope to get to that spot! I currently just applied for a three bedroom. So the minimum wage I would be willing to take is $15.00 an hour so that I could make it by comfortably.
