Hello! My name is Aja (pronounced like the continent Asia) Edwards, I'm originally from Lakeville, MN, about 20 minutes south of Minneapolis. I am a current freshman at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. I really have loved kids my entire life. I took care of dolls when I was little, and finally started babysitting my two younger siblings, Haley and Lee, when I was about 13. Ever since, I have helped a lot of families out with being their go-to babysitter. I have nannied 3 families during the summer over my years of experience, which have all been a great time! In my current neighborhood, a majority of the kids are young (roughly preschool to 6th grade) and have had experience babysitting for a majority of the families and quite a few I watch regularly. I work at Lifetime Fitness in the Child Care Center, which is a wonderful job. Read more I love going to work just to say hi to the kids and talk with the parents. The employees of the Child Care Center, including myself, love these kids and have certainly formed relationships with them as well as the parents, we are the top club for Child Care in the country. Many families that go to Lifetime have actually resulted in me babysitting for them outside of Lifetime, which has been great! Also, I am CPR and First Aid certified, it's required that I am for all Lifetime Fitness employees. In total, I would say I've been babysitting for approximately 6 years, with a wide range of families and kids. I have done infants, including twins, to 12 years of age for a nannying job one summer. I really like kids from any age group, I don't have a preference! I love to take kids to the park and play outside, especially when it's nice out I'm all for tag and the sprinkler! I love to do arts and crafts, color, and watch movies. Depending on the age group, I definitely enjoy playing games whether it's a board game or going outside to toss the football around, play soccer, HORSE with the basketball, or ring around the rosy. I am a really friendly, approachable person. I love to make people laugh and I'm always smiling. I'm definitely responsible and organized, and certainly trustworthy.
