Hi! I am Emily. I am just finishing up my freshmen year at the University of Saint Thomas. I am looking for a full-time summer nanny job.I went to Cedarcrest Academy (now known as Ave Maria Academy) through the 8th grade, and then moved on to Totino-Grace High School. These two schools have shaped who I am and the values I have --both morally and religiously. I believe in doing what is right. During my time at Cedarcrest the school motto was "Semper Altius" meaning "always higher". This has really stuck with me throughout my life. I always try to be the best person I can be. I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old. I am fun, energetic and I like to play with kids. I also assisted teaching Faith Formation at St. Vincent De Paul. I enjoyed this because I was able to see the kids Read more learn and grow. My previous job responsibilities entailed caring for two boys ages 5 and 8 (when I first started). I always packed a little babysitting bag filled with a first aid kit, books and games. I tried to pack different things each time so they would not get bored. I would prepare dinner --simple things like pizza, mac-n-cheese and chicken strips. We played games outside like tag and shot around a basketball. We colored a lot and played with toy cars. I was up for almost anything as long as it was safe. Before bed we would clean up the toys and read stories. After I put the kids to bed I would do the dishes and pick up the house. While I waited for their parents to come home I would read a book. I am in college now and have not babysat for them in awhile, however, if they asked and I could I would. I love kids and enjoy doing fun activities with them. However, safety comes first and that is my main priority. I am mature, responsible and still fun.
