I am a recent graduate of Northwestern College, with a passion for taking care of and educating children. I have classroom and in-home experience with children of various ages and needs. In 2008 to 2009 I was a high school aide for a 13-year-old boy with Down Syndrome. In 2009 I was a part-time caregiver for a 16-year-old girl with Rett Syndrome. I helped her with hygiene as well as other basic needs. In the summer of 2010 and 2011 I was a nanny for a 1 and 2-year-old for three days a week. I cooked their meals, changed diapers, completed other housekeeping tasks, planned activities for them in and outside of the house, and used a vehicle in order to go to parks, playgrounds, restaurants, etc. In the summer of 2012 and 2013 I was a day camps Counselor in Pine River, Minnesota. Along with 6 other staff members Read more I drove across Minnesota in a 15 passenger van, with a trailer attached, to put on a 4 day vacation bible school. The camp provides a 6 week program for day camps that is growing each summer. During both summers, with my team, I prepared bible lessons, crafts, games, snacks and skits for over 700 children. In 2013- 2014 I was a part-time nanny for a 2 and 6-year-old, and substitute teach in the Anoka - Hennepin school district. I have experience substitute teaching for children ages 5-12 and students who have learning disabilities, autism and emotional and behavioral disorders. This summer I have worked as a full time nanny for a family of 5 energetic and fun - loving children. I am qualified to work with children and find great joy in doing so. Your children would be safe with me and also have great memories to share!
