Greetings! This is my first time at actually seeking employment as a nanny. Have no worries though, as I am fully capable, responsible and had a most amazing and fulfilling experience helping an ex-boyfriend raise his son Arthur. While I did not consider myself his 'nanny', I was a stay at home mother to Arthur,(age 5-7), and was the most rewarding experience of my life. Very sadly though, things changed and I had to move on. I am still in contact with Arthur and hope to be for the rest of his life! During this brief time, I performed all duties any mother would for her own child. I did my best to be a neutral party, and provided selfless love, structure and support to Arthur. This was not the easiest time for him, as his parents were divorced within the year before I met him, and the transition back Read more and forth between parents was difficult at first. As a child of divorced parents, I made it my priority to make sure Arthur was able to focus on being a child and having the best experiences I could give him. I am an artist, a creative force and a sponge who is always seeking to learn anything new. I prefer to work for myself or in freelance type situations, and thought being a nanny would provide me with a rewarding, challenging and ever interesting work-type environment. I love to share my knowledge of all things, especially with children. I live to make new discoveries and would thoroughly enjoy a partner or two in crime! ;) I am the type of person who does not tolerate drama, negativity and closed minded thought. I prefer to see the world with eyes wide open and am excited to learn what lies ahead. I wish to provide firm, yet loving structure for your children with your full support and understanding. It is in my humble opinion, that all parties must be on the same page in regards to child rearing, in order for the child to succeed and fully reach his/her full potential. I love to cook, bake, assist with homework/extra curricular activities, learn about fun and creative endeavors, being active in the great outdoors whenever possible, and to engage a child in positive, social activities - away from technology as much as possible. While I am not currently certified in CPR, etc., I will be happy to do what is necessary to gain certifications. I am incredibly knowledgeable in first aid and am very observant in terms of body language and picking up on cues of something amiss. Nothing will go unnoticed when your children are in my presence.
