I am 24 years old, engaged, and expecting my first baby. I have two dogs - a Peekapom and an English Bulldog. I currently work at a school, but would like to be more directly involved with kids. I would be willing to start as a nanny right away, however I am due at the end of February. I would like to have 8 weeks, after delivering, before continuing to work. Ideally, I am hoping to find a nanny position that begins in April 2018. I have been babysitting both related and non-related children for about 13 years now. Children ages have ranged from newborn to teen. I am the oldest of 5; my youngest sibling is 9. I have looked after my siblings since I was about 12, and I grew up with parents who took care of foster children. This has given me the opportunity to interact with Read more (and take care of) children who have special needs (emotional, physical, and behavioral) and has allowed me to develop great coping and communication skills. Throughout high school and college, I also cared for numerous children that were not related to me. I started caring for (non related) children at the age of 12 when I began babysitting for a neighbors 6 month old daughter. I continued to babysit for them throughout highschool - and as their family expanded to include 4 children. I also have experience working as an HST. I provided care for adults (young to senior) with developmental and/or physical disabilities.
