I have served as a mentor and a caregiver of children for six years. I began taking care of infants and young children ranging from 1-6 at the age of 14. When I was 18 years old I worked as a nanny for a summer. I looked after a 12 year-old boy. We stayed active the whole summer. We began the day by going to the golf club for a few hours. In the afternoon I made lunch and we would spend an hour reading. After he finished practicing his reading comprehension skills we did something fun. For example, we traveled to museums, pools, water parks, beaches, and went on walks around lakes. The following summer I worked as a camp counselor for high school youth. I not only served as a leader and role model for the youth I was a mentor. I demonstrated positive attitude and shared my Read more knowledge and skills with the youth. The reason I continue to work with children is because I have a passion for helping others and developing a strong environment for people, especially children, to succeed. I demonstrate principled behavior at all times and I am dedicated to the development of all children. I have a sincere passion of helping others, which is why I feel strongly that I am a good role model and caregiver of children. I not only serve as a caregiver I also serve as a guide and mentor for the children I look after. I am in a position to help children achieve their goals and make the most out of their abilities.
