I have worked with children in a variety of areas for what feels like most of my life. From babysitting my younger siblings and cousins when I was 10, to working in Preschools, Educational Centers, Camps, and church I can honestly say that the majority of my working experience has involved children. Some people might look at it as spending the day wiping boogers, changing diapers, and playing "hide and seek" but it's so much more than that. It's taking care of our future. Whatever age it may be, nurturing a young child and teaching them to not only tie their shoes or do math, but teaching them to love learning. Teaching them to care about those around them, and that it's OK to make a mistake. I love being a nanny because I feel that I am making a difference one child at a time.
