Throughout the years, I have had many roles in child care. I started in elementary school, babysitting the neighbor children. As I grew older, I become involved in things such as vacation bible school, teaching Sunday school, and the special olympics. On top of that, I have been a babysitter/nanny to a family I am very close to. They have three children (5,6 and 9). They are energetic and creative. I can keep up with any child that comes my way. My second semester at Iowa State University, I was lucky enough to become a mentor to a young girl. I spend time with her once a week, for an entire semester. I love to be there for children, help others and make a positive impact as much as I can.
