Hi. I'm 21 years old, genderfluid (they/them pronouns), and Jewish. I've worked for 2 - 2.5 years as a teacher's aide at the Lubavitch Cheder Day School Preschool on Ford Parkway. I also took charge of my sister's children for entire summer of 2015/2016 when she had a difficult pregnancy. I'm in the middle of transferring colleges and may not have a degree, but have plenty of practical experience with kids. Especially 18 months - 3 year olds. I enjoy working with and playing with children. While I can be firm if needed, I tend to want to become friends with the kids. I will treat children with respect and care, understanding there isn't only one way for children to interact with those around him. I enjoy going 'old-school' - simple games without the need for electronics or distractions. If a kid needs to cry, I will let them cry. Read more (If healthier). I'm very aware of children and will tend to celebrate any small achievement they make. That said, I do not yet have a driver's license. I am able to bike and use public transportation. Also I cannot work Friday afternoons through Saturday evenings due to religious obligations. In the summer, from beginning of May through end of August, I have softball Wednesday afternoons and evenings.
