I am a mother of 2 grown children (girls, ages 26 & 29) and a grandmother to 1 adorable grandson (9 years old). But now at the age of 51, I find myself experiencing the 'empty nest syndrome' and would be honored if you allow me the privilege to watch over your child(ren). When deciding on childcare, I know that your child's safety is of utmost concern. I have worked for the federal government, which involves passing an extremely thorough background check/drug screen. I also possess a clean driving record, with no accidents, speeding tickets or DWI's. I have completed a first-aid and CPR training class in the past as well. If you have a special needs child who requires any type of specialized training in order to care for them, I would be more than happy to accommodate that request. I do have some experience working with a group Read more of special need adolescents in a residential setting, all of whom had fetal alcohol syndrome along with additional diagnoses (i.e. learning disability, Asperger's syndrome, ADD/ADHD). In regards to pets...I have no known allergies to animals and would feel completely comfortable around any type of pet. I would love to assist with animal care while in your home. Along with attentively watching your children, I will also provide light housekeeping, meaning you would never come home to a mess! LOCAL pick-up and drop-off of children at school/activities are included in my fee as well. For an additional charge, I can run errands (grocery shop, dry cleaning pick-up/drop-off, run pet to vet, etc.) as well as offer housekeeping such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen/bathroom, etc. I currently have a very flexible schedule which allows me to be available most hours/days of the week. Depending on prior commitments, I may also be available on short notice, should the need arise. I can accommodate late night/overnights as well.
