My name is Tia Jones I am 28 years old. I am a mother of a 2 year-old boy. He is my everything and I make sure that I can do everything to keep him safe, healthy and loved. I want to be able to provide the same quality of care that I would expect my son to have. I have been in the childcare field for 9 years. I began working in the childcare field in 2007 but was in school for a business major. I attended a university in St. Louis for business administration. In 2010 I lost my job and couldn't get a job because everyone wanted me to have classes in childcare. In 2011 I started going to St. Louis Community college for my associates in Early Care and Education. I completed this program in 2013 but while in the program and finding a new job Read more I knew this is what I am supposed to being doing and I knew this is what God had attended for my life. There were times that I wanted to stray away from the field but I know that I was made to help families. I have currently worked with ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Right now I am currently the co -lead three year old teacher in University City, Mo. In my current position, I maintain a positive and exciting learning environment. I understand children need structure in their lives, and this early preschool experience is something that I find to be very important. My genuine enthusiasm and sincere interest in my students help build them up to their fullest potential and always attain their learning objectives. I have incorporated hands on activities and fun manipulatives that prove to stimulate social, emotional, physical and academic growth. I am believe that children should be given the ability to be independent individuals by setting limits with positive discipline, praise, and encouragement. I enjoy being surrounded by children because of their imagination, innocence, and creativity. I am a fun and loving person. I love being around my family, friends, and the children that I work with. I love going to the zoo, magic house, library, park, doing creative art work, engaging in educational activities and etc
