I have 5 years professional experience as a nanny with my current family. We're reaching the point that they are outgrowing me so I am looking for my next family. I have a 22 month old son I am seeking to bring with me. -Experience- I have over 10 years experience in childcare, caring for newborns all the way up to 10 years old. I am comfortable caring for up to 3 children at a time, I would consider more depending on the circumstances. -Personality- I am organized and laid back. I know how to keep to a schedule and I know how to relax and have fun. I tend towards a "love and logic" style of discipline. I am the nanny that will teach your kiddos little fun facts throughout the day because learning is fun and interesting! We might watch a video on how goldfish are made, or Read more watch a caterpillar turn into a butterfly. I love learning and I use that to my advantage in sharing my knowledge with children. I'm comfortable saying "I don't know, but let's look it up and we'll find out." when asked questions. I do feel it's important to limit screen time and I do my best to be mindful when choosing to use electronics for learning. I enjoy problem solving and encourage this in my charges as well, giving chances to try something for themselves before I jump in and do it for them. -Certification- I am trained in Infant/child/adult CPR. I have a good driving record and a safe car as well as one car seat that I can provide for use in my car if needed. -Pets- I am comfortable with pets in general, I do not typically work in homes with dogs but for the right dog I may make an exception. I do not provide pet care. -Contracts and taxes- I only work with a proper contract signed. I have my own contract that I use and I update as needed to reflect the specifics of a position. I require employers (families) to handle taxes appropriately, including but not limited to: withholding taxes, paying unemployment etc. It is your responsibility to ensure this is done correctly and I highly suggest consulting your tax professional for advice on this. -Currently seeking- I am looking for part time, 1 day/week(10 hrs) for now. Once I complete my position with my current family I would be interested to increase my hours to at least 2 days/week(20 hrs).
