Kids have always been my passion. I grew up in a large extended family, with my mom being 1 out of 15 which meant lots of cousins! My favorite part of family get togethers is just playing around with all of the younger cousins. I used to live in Iowa and in this past year I have gotten married and have moved to Kansas City. I miss the kid atompshere and constantly being around them. My current job that I have been at for almost a year is working with At Risk Youth and I am just ready for a change of pace. Living in Iowa I was very active in my school, community, and church. Before my current job I served a year with the non profit organitzation, AmeriCorps. Through AmeriCorps I worked with all ages. I mostly worked with 6th-8th in the school, the after school program, and Read more the summer program. However in that year I was also a leader at a few different Vacation Bible School programs, high school sports/church camp, 5th/6th grade softball coach, and tutored a couple of high school students. I attended Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa and I am a college graduate with a Bachelor degree in Human Services. I orginally went to college to become an elementary music teacher. At the time music was my soul passion but the more classes I took I realized people were my passion. I have worked with all ages from newborn to high school students and each age group has their own unique qualities that I love and to work with.
