I grew up as the middle child in a family of six kids. Growing up, my sister and I would team up and babysit for family friends or our little brother. I spent a year as a live-in nanny for a family in Orlando, FL. I loved being a part of their family and taking care of their two children, ages 6 and 8. Also, during my time in Orlando I enjoyed volunteering weekly with an inner-city children's ministry. A few years ago I spent three months in South East Asia. In Cambodia I taught English to young adults and worked in the slums with impoverished children. In Thailand I lived and served at an orphanage in the mountains. All last year I spent many hours a week babysitting my newborn nephew. I have a big heart for children and can't think of a better way to spend my time Read more than to spend it with kids.
