I believe that care giving is the perfect job for me, because I have always been very compassionate, and I love to see people happy. Children just make the "job" that much more fun and exciting. A lot of people who know me will say that I have a child-like personality, so kids seem to warm-up to me quickly. I love being outdoors and going on "adventures". Whether it's fishing, hiking, bike-riding, I always try to find something interesting. I'm big into swimming in the summer months. I am happy to be CPR certified, so that families can feel secure. Going to the park, city museum, and the zoo would all be things I would love to do with your child(ren). As for indoor activities, I am very willing to help with learning activities (flashcards, reading, etc.). I believe its important to find ways to make learning fun for kids. Read more I will strive to make things as structured and laid-back as possible. I do enjoy T.V. & videos games in moderation, but believe we can find a lot more fun in staying active and using our imaginations. :) My experience began at a young age when I started teaching gymnastics at the gym I trained at. This was the perfect job for me, because it allowed me to share my discipline and also my fun side at the same time. I got to see a lot of different personalities. I learned that you cannot treat every child the same and that every child learns differently. I have always had a love for kids and their silly personalities. I believe that no matter what kind of mood I'm in, a funny child can always make you smile. I trained kids in gymnastics all throughout high school with ages ranging from 2-16. I would also watch the children in the childcare rooms at my church on Sundays. Although, I spend a lot of time with kids outside of my home, I would say I gained most of my experience from helping my mother in the daily tasks of caring for my younger brother and sister. I have always enjoyed tending to my siblings growing up because nurturing is a big part of my personality. I was changing diapers, making bottles, feeding, and putting my brother & sister down for naps as early as my middle school years. I feel very comfortable in everything from caring for newborns to running around with toddlers/school-agers. I also cared for an elderly woman for 2 years in her home in which I gained a lot of care giving experience. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my bio!
