My name is Amanda and I'm 30 years old. My fiance and I have an 11 year old son and live in St. Peters. I worked for a large hotel company for almost 9 years. I finally decided that the hours were taking away from my family and I left the hotel. I also decided that I wanted to pursue a career that I am passionate about and there's nothing more fulfilling than family to me. I became a live-out nanny/caregiver for an amazing family where I was responsible for two wonderful children, ages 4 and 9 months, 5 days a week and was also available when needed on weekends. A few weeks ago my job sadly became no longer necessary, as the father received a promotion and they moved to Idaho. A few of my responsibilities included: planning age-appropriate activities, supervising playtime with children's friends, transporting children when needed, Read more laundry, preparing meals and snacks, cleaning up, family errands, keeping the house tidy, providing one-on-one care and meeting the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of the children to the best of my abilities. My job was to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children which allowed their parents to feel 100% comfortable when they were working.
