We know this is short notice, but hoping someone wants to experience the beauty and events of Christmas in DC. Comfortable townhouse in DC--in a quiet community close to Silver Spring, MD - -. Easy access to the 495 (Beltway) and an 8 min walk to the Metro (red line) and lunch at Busboys & Poets!. I have 6 very sweet, very people-oriented rescue cats. We sometimes say they are puppies in cat clothing! Unlike many cats. they would become depressed if left alone with just a "sitter "coming in once a day to feed them and sift the litter box. They are so much happier when there is a person or people to snuggle with! I travel with some regularity --usually, at least 8- 10 days per month - especially Spring/Summer/Fall and my travel schedule is often flexible (give or take!) . Looking for folks who want an at-home Read more setting for their trip. Our house has AC in summer -- and a wood-burning fireplace (in addition to the furnace!) in winter! Fully equipped kitchen, 3 baths, WiFi, and cable! And free parking right in front of the house! Must like cats enough to feed them, maintain their litter boxes and cuddle/love on them--and to text me pictures of them each day I'm away! Our house is located for easy access to all the DC Metro area has to offer. The 8-minute walk to the Metro (Red Line) can take you to downtown DC--the National Mall and all the museums and other sights--or a transfer and you're in Virginia (Arlington, the Pentagon, etc) or Maryland. With Downtown Silver Spring less than 10 minutes away --shopping is close by, as are several restaurants, movies, etc. Six cats! As sweet and loving as they are -- obviously this is not a house for folks with allergies! Probably not the best place for young children either. Previous sitters have always enjoyed the house, the cats --and the easy access to so many sights and activities. Dates listed may be adjusted within a close time frame! And, we travel almost monthly, so if not this time, maybe next!
