I am 55 years old and in excellent health. I am desiring to leave the business industry and become a full-time nanny. My credentials in child care are that when I was 33 years of age, my husband and I adopted 3-year-old twins, a boy and girl, from an institution/orphanage in Russia. I had to begin nurturing and raising children with a language barrier experiencing culture changes. I had two toddlers that could only speak Russian to whom I had to teach English, alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, etc., in order to prepare them for entering school at the age of 5. These twins were malnutritional as well and I spent an enormous amount of time preparing foods and snacks for them what I knew would boost their growth potential and their brain enhancement (which had been starved). When the twins were 15, I brought in a foster child and finished raising him. He became an Eagle Scout and attended college. Other child care experience is teaching 3rd grade aged children in Sunday School (Presbyterian) and Wolf Den level in Boy Scouts of America for many, many years. I was also a member of an adoption club here in Charlotte that traveled and spoke on the topic to couples considering adoption. I am mature but not "old". I love activity and play but am a great teacher. I want to meet with you and give more enlightenment as to why I believe you are searching for me to assist your children and family!
