My love for children is a big reason I decided to become a Director of Christian Education directly after college and not pursue medical school. Twenty-five years later I am still fascinated with human development and still called to nurture the whole person. I have been an ordained Presbyterian Pastor for twenty years, primarily serving in congregations, but I am hoping to focus on counseling so am beginning the long process of earning another masters degree and becoming a licensed pastoral counselor. My current position as a part-time Parish Associate at First Presbyterian in Hickory ends December 21, 2014. I have a great deal of flexibility but still need to attend Tuesday morning staff meetings and cover pastoral emergencies on Friday afternoons for these next few weeks.
