I am a professional nanny with 7 years of experience working with childcare and education of children ages 3 months to 12 years old, throughout all developmental stages. I have experience with planning age appropriate activities and following different childcare agendas according to the parent’s preference. I am familiar with the teaching methods of Montessori. I have experience with special needs children and following therapeutic protocols of activities to help with the development of the child whenever required. I am originally from Brazil and I’ve been living in the USA since 2013. During my first 2 years in the USA, I lived with a lovely family in Springfield, Virginia and worked full time. Their three children are now ages 13, 9 and 4. This family was exceptionally pleased with my work with their children. I was responsible for all aspects of child care but my focus was mostly with the Read more youngest girl because she stayed at the house with me full time. She has dairy allergy, Crohn’s Disease and asthma. She needed a lot of special care. Her parents were really grateful to me for all the love and care that I was able to provide to her. I was responsible for all her medicines and most of the time she only took it with me. With the boys it was basically food preparation, help them with homework and get them ready to bed. A general list of my duties included food preparation and feeding, dressing, diaper changes, preschool and school drop-off and pick-up, child’s laundry, naps, reading, homework, light housework and lot’s of playing. I had two awesome years with that family. During my first two year I had a side job with twins, who I took care of for about 7 months every other weekend. They were only 3 months old when I started taking care of them. Mostly recent, I lived with a family in Alexandria, Virginia for 1 year taking full-time care of their three girls – 7, 8, and 10. They are really active and we do many additional activities together, such as gymnastics class, music class, library visits, going to the park, singing, dancing, reading, and we always have so much fun together. Each family would be happy to provide you with a solid reference about me as child care provider, roommate, and as a person in general. I am also a experience driver with 14 years of driving.
