Hello! My name is Kelly. I graduated with my B.S. in Child Development from Central Michigan University in 2011. I am a wife to a loving husband and a mom to two fur-babies, who are my world! I love to be active, travel and try new things. Growing up as the oldest child in my family of 1 brother and 6 cousins, I’ve been around kids my whole life. At the early age of 10, I began nannying for a family of 4 children, 2 of which were twins. I watched all four children until they were toddler age, but I mostly spent my time with them while they were infants. From 2010-2012, I volunteered as a Parent Coach for a program that supports and encourages parents (new and old) to help them feel like they aren’t alone in this big world of parenting. I would speak with parents on Read more the phone, sometimes for an hour or more, about anything and everything they might want to know about their child's development. I would also mail them resources that were helpful to their particular questions. I truly enjoy helping and supporting parents not only in regards to their children, but as people as well; it is so rewarding! For the past 5years (and currently), I’ve worked as an Early Preschool Teacher for 2-3 year-olds and absolutely love it! Since I do LOVE working with children so much, over the years I’ve found myself wanting to spend more quality time with them. As a caregiver, it’s much more rewarding for me to be able to spend one-on-one time with one child or a few children, instead of being in a classroom, where I can't spend as much time with each child as I would like. It’s so important for young children to be able to have the bonding time with an adult that they can trust and rely on. To be able to care for a child and provide them with love and nutriment is truly a blessing. I am a HUGE animal lover, light housekeeping is not a problem at all, and I am flexible & hope that you are too! I have a clean driving record, current CPR & First Aid certifications & TB test. I have been fingerprinted and have my criminal background check. I’ve been trained on SIDS, Shaken Baby, Blood Born Pathogens, & Abuse and Neglect.
